Coach
Over my 30+ year career, I have held a variety of technical and management positions, over half within private industry. I came to the university in the fall of 2013, and I currently serve as Assistant Director of the Health Information System (HIS) development and support team at the College of Veterinary Medicine Teaching Hospital. I serve on the hospital Administrative Team, and I am responsible for the strategy, development, management, and operations of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital HIS applications. I am truly blessed with a trifecta of job satisfaction, a great team of developers, a wonderful boss, and a job that I genuinely love.
After attending MGRdev in 2014, I was humbled at the opportunity to join the MGRdev team in 2015. I served through 2018 as a facilitator and coach. It is my distinct pleasure to reunite with the MGRdev team to serve as a coach.
What motivates me? Purpose! Having a mission, getting behind it, effectively communicating it and achieving the objectives. People! I derive enormous personal satisfaction from seeing others grow professionally. I have a very strong passion for “the customer experience” and I highly value and purposefully develop strong professional relationships. I am a firm believer in cultivating a positive team-oriented work environment and consider it my duty to assist my team members in developing their skills. My proudest moments as a manager and leader stem from the successes of those whom I have had the pleasure managing.
